This exhibition, from the Catalan Association for Peace, focuses on the voice of four women, Rhyme, Hiyam, Ammal and Walaa, facing the daily struggle in a context of violence, oppression and contrasts. This exhibition aims at making visible the strength -their active role- of all women in the same situation through individual stories of empowerment.
In all four cases, women have broken with the roles and expected trajectories, also transforming the perspective of their role in society. They explain at first hand their origins and journey, their illusions and realities, expectations and worldview. In each story, gender stereotypes and the violence are explored and challenged.
