Cineforum: “Cholitas”

This is an awareness activity organised by Oxfam Intermon in the framework of the World Day of Human Rights. The documentary about five Bolivian women playing an important role in a unique expedition. As a symbol of liberation and empowerment, they propose to climb the highest mountain of America, Aconcagua. A story about personal overcoming and women empowerment. After the screening, a debate amon the audience animated by the Oxfam Intermon will take place with the aim to promote reflection and sensitise the wide public about the situation that women face in Bolivia and how to break down stereotypes interacting with the nature and claiming respect for different cultures, reflecting the value of their distinct indigenous identity.
